written 5/5/12 – Beth went to Prom tonight. She is all dressed up with high heals. She is so happy that she is going.
We took pictures in the front yard. She wanted to go in an hour early so that she could fix her hair with her friends. The dance is from eight to eleven. She looks so much older and mature. Beth is the first one of my kids to go to Prom. William didn’t want to go to his Prom. Maggie can’t go to Prom at her school until she is either a Junior or is asked by a Junior or a Senior. Beth’s school is small so they let all of the grades go. If they didn’t, not many kids would be there.
written 4/2/12 – We signed up William today for summer classes at college.
Beth got her Prom dress, shoes and purse this weekend. We took her friend with us. She shops better with a friend. Beth got a knee length dress. I was happy and so was she.
Maggie’s air gun does shoot out a candle at 20 feet. What a relief. She redesigned it at least three times. Her designs came off of U-Tube. Each design needed a bucket and something to push the air out of the bucket toward the candle. The problem is that each new design needed a smaller hole cut into the bottom of the bucket. We now have three buckets with holes in the bottom of them. I can put plants in them and have good drainage holes. She needs to write the paper that goes with it. It is all due tomorrow.
We are almost done selling candy bars for the girl’s mission trip. Selling was fun for a while, but now I would just like to be done with it. Selling candy bars in the winter isn’t stressful, but as soon at the weather gets hot, I spend a lot of time wondering if everything is going to melt.
