9/7/15 last weeks goals…

Last week I set a goal of cleaning off the buffet. I usually make a list of all of my goals. Sometimes I try to remember all of them, but with three kids, I forget a lot of things. It usually works like this. I set a goal and then forget it a lot of times and finally write it down on a piece of paper. Next I do the things on the list that are totally necessary for every day life, like buying milk. Then I  set the list somewhere, where I never see it again. When I remember the goal again, I write it on the new list that I am working on. One day I decided that nothing was getting accomplished except for me buying milk, so I got a small notepad, the size that would fit into a back pocket. I wrote all of my goals into the notebook and put it securely into my purse so that I wouldn’t loose it. I felt so free. I had my goals written down and wouldn’t loose the paper. … Then I forgot what the goals were, I forgot to look at the new notebook, and I forgot that I had a new notebook. So, I forgot to clean off the buffet, but we do have milk.

What are your goals? How do you reach them?

9/1/15 our own house…

written 2.2.14 – We have lived in our house for about ten years. I didn’t think that we would ever get into a house since houses are so expensive. All of the statistics that I heard on the news said that the normal price of a house was over one hundred thousand dollars. I couldn’t afford that so I didn’t look for a house or ask anyone if there were houses that cost less that would be OK for us to live in. I didn’t realize that a lot of houses cost a lot less than that and a lot cost more. One day I saw a sign on the side of the road that said…get a house for five hundred dollars down… Five hundred was a big stretch for me, but we needed a house. I was so excited to think that we could get a house. We had been living with my mom. It was so nice of her to let us live with her, but it wasn’t our place. Truthfully it was nice that she cooked and did the laundry, but we needed to move out and become our own little family. Maggie and Beth shared a room. Maggie was an older six year old and Beth was a younger five year old (I may be completely wrong on the ages, this was a while ago). Maggie was in school and wanted to grow up and wanted her own room. Beth liked sharing and wanted us to have more kids and have everyone share a loft and invite more people over each night and have a party with all of these people all of the time. Maggie wanted quiet. Maggie kept going around the house looking in each room and saying “no one is using this part of this room, can’t I have it for a bedroom?”. The one that got me was when the little door to the crawl space was open for the first time and Maggie peered into it and said, “that’s an extra room, I could use it as a bedroom”. It took a while to convince her that people don’t sleep in the crawl space. It was right after that that we saw the “five hundred dollars down” sign. I have a friend who sold real estate so I said to her that I had seen this sign and wanted a house that I could get for five hundred down. We looked for a long time and found this house. It has four bedrooms, the kids each needed their own rooms, and a car and a half garage. We were thrilled to have a house. We moved in between Christmas and New Years.

blog income
I have been looking for a way to bring extra cash into my family without getting a second job. I just want enough extra income to be able to pay the bills but still be able to have time to enjoy my kids. I tried a lot of web sites that offered envelope stuffing, they were all dead ends. Then I tried blogging. I figured that if enough people visited my blog then I could add advertisements and get paid. If I monetized my blog I could take the profit to help my family. I have found Blogsvertise. With them I can have advertisements on my blog, or have guest posts or have banner ads. I am still new to this. If I bring other people in to Blogsvertise I can get a percent of what they make. I have the link on the side of my blog. If you click on it you can register your blog and start making money. Please register from my link so they know that you came in through me. If you need to come back later to register please save my page as a favorite and register through my link when you are ready. Thanks ahead of time for registering through me and happy blogging!!!
